【Yusetsusawa】
Located in the Daisetsuzan mountain range of Hokkaido, Yusetsusawa contains a great gorge in its middle section, extending 400 meters in horizontal distance with sidewalls rising 150 meters high.

The interior of this gorge remained unknown until 2024. In this record, modern *sawaya* use climbing and canyoning techniques to reveal its full character.

Fed by the vast mountain mass of the Daisetsuzan range, Yusetsusawa carries one of the most powerful volumes of water among sawanobori objectives in Japan. This book documents the exploration of a gorge filled with raging water and continuous cascades.
